ZOMBIE Beauties in Bloom Presents: Lily
Zombie Beauties in Bloom Reveals Lily
You will find Lily beneath a cold, star-strewn sky. She is another of the tragic Zombie Beauties in Bloom of the Undead Garden. She’s resting in a stout wooden bucket brimming with crimson water.
Colourful lilies float gently around her pale face like a funeral wreath arranged by cruel hands. Their petals glow faintly in the moonlight, beautiful and serene despite the horror they frame.
A rusted sword pierces cleanly through Lily’s neck and out the other side, pinning her head against the bucket’s rim like a grotesque trophy.
Dark rivulets of blood creep down the length of the blade, dripping slowly into the water below, where the lilies drink deeply from the crimson pool.
Behind her, an ivy-covered brick wall rises from the darkness, ancient and silent. The moon casts long shadows across the rough stone, and somewhere above the wall, the wind whispers through unseen branches.
In life, Lily had been gentle.
Quiet.
The kind of person who stepped aside so others could pass.
The Botanist saw poetry in that innocence.
So he surrounded her with lilies, flowers long believed to symbolise purity and grace, twisting their meaning into something grotesque.
Now she endures as a centrepiece in the night garden.
A beautiful arrangement of innocence and cruelty. Lily was part of the Zombie Beauties in Bloom.
The sweet fragrance of the lilies drifts softly through the air, trying in vain to hide the copper scent of blood.
Yet even in undeath, Lily refuses to look away.
Her half-lidded eyes remain open, gazing calmly toward the distant stars.
No scream touches her pale lips.
Only quiet defiance.
As if daring the darkness itself to forget her.
This wasn’t supposed to happen, and it wasn’t part of her 5-year plan to become part of this collection of dead women preserved for entertainment? For Decoration?
Being a Zombie Beauty in Bloom wasn’t part of the plan, but here she is. Rotten and undead. Sweet and gag-worthy at the same time. Beauty mixed with an unimaginable scene of the undead.
She couldn’t die; she was reborn again and again in the garden. She suffered seasons of death, of freeze and its unending cold. Spring of rebirth, blooming and then death. Over and over, she is reborn from death as a Zombie Beauty in bloom. Her story is waiting to be read.

A single death’s-head moth rests upon the sword’s hilt, its wings still as the grave.
Silent witness to Lily’s eternal vigil between horror and grace. Who was she before she became a part of the Zombie Beauties in Bloom?
Lily, sweet Lily. The tale of her becoming isn’t as sweet or pretty…
